The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) held the opening session of the sixth meeting of the Andhra Pradesh Higher Education Planning Board (APHEPB) on Sunday at VIT-AP University, with an emphasis on improving universities’ research and innovation ecosystems.
The meeting’s theme is ‘Nurturing Vibrant Research and Innovation Ecosystems in Universities’, with a sub-theme of ‘Promoting High-Quality Research in Higher Education Institutions.’
Prof. TG Sitaram, Chairman of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), addressed the gathering and stated that institutional collaboration is essential for effective information sharing and collective progress. He praised the state government and APSCHE for their efforts to promote quality education, as well as HEPB’s endeavor to bring all of the top institutions together for the cause of higher education.
According to APSCHE Chairman Prof. K. Hemachandra Reddy, around 87% of students in the state receive free education. He stated, “I’ve experienced the government’s continuous commitment to provide quality education to all.” The VIT-AP STARs program, which provides free education to impoverished youngsters, has also received positive feedback, he added.
Recognizing the significance of collaboration, the vice-chancellors (VCs) have resolved to meet to debate and enhance education in the state. Dr. G Viswanathan, the founder and chancellor of VIT-AP, and V-C Prof. SV Kota Reddy also took part.
