Results Announced

  • The Directorate of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE) has released the Kerala Plus 2 Revaluation Result 2024. Students who applied for revaluation can check their updated results on the official website, dhsekerala.gov.in. The DHSE has also provided details about the refund process for revaluation fees for students whose scores increased by 10% or more.
  • The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TGBIE) has released the TS Intermediate Class 12 re-verification and recounting results 2024 today, 6 June 2024. Students who applied for re-verification can check their revised results by entering their hall ticket number on the official website, tgbie.cgg.gov.in.
  • The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) will declare the WBJEE final results 2024 today, 6 June 2024. Once released, students can check their results on the official website, wbjeeb.nic.in.
  • The Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC), Gujarat, will release the provisional merit list tomorrow, 7 June 2024. Candidates who participated in the counselling process can view and download the admission list on the official website, gujacpc.admissions.nic.in
  • The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) announced the results of the 12th standard annual exams on, 6 June 2024, with an overall pass percentage of 74%. JKBOSE officials reported that the pass rate includes 77% of female students and 72% of male students.

Admissions

  • The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has opened registration for the NIFT counselling 2024 for undergraduate and graduate programmes. Candidates who have passed the NIFT entrance test can apply for admission on the official website, nift.admissions.nic.in. The deadline for applications to the counselling session is 11 June 2024.
  • The Gujarat Common Admission Services (GCAS) portal was launched to streamline, simplify, and speed up the admission process at 15 public universities in the state. However, it has raised concerns about a possible delay in the commencement of the new academic session at Gujarat University (GU).

Higher Education Updates

  • Recognizing the pivotal role data plays in shaping the business landscape, the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD), ranked 2nd in the Ministry of Education’s NIRF 2023 rankings for Engineering, has announced the launch of a Certificate Programme in Data Analytics for Business Applications.
  • The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the NEET UG results. The cut-off for general category candidates has increased from 720-137 last year to 720-164. Additionally, 67 students have shared the NEET All India Rank (AIR) 1, each achieving a 99.997129 percentile score.

Government Educational Initiatives

  • The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has detected variations in theory and practical marks in certain subjects in past years’ results. AI tools identified these variations among 50% or more students in about 500 CBSE-affiliated schools. Consequently, the Board has issued an advisory to these schools to review their internal assessment processes.
