Students Must Become the Best Version of Themselves – Here’s How

Edumate. tv recently hosted yet another biweekly addition to its ongoing series of much-acclaimed webinars in collaboration with Genleap, drawing together a diverse array of esteemed school leaders from across the nation who brainstormed on this very critical subject.

Following were the insights gathered under the adept moderation of Jyotsna Raghunathan, a very credible face in the education fraternity:

Shruti Shah Kathuria, Chief Strategic Alliance Officer at GenLeap, expertly guided the conversation from an industry standpoint, showcasing her extensive knowledge and deep understanding of the challenges faced by students and parents in today’s ever-evolving educational landscape. With her insightful analysis, Kathuria illuminated the path forward, highlighting the crucial aspects of fostering students’ growth, facilitating identity formation, and promoting parental engagement in education. Her innovative approach, advocating for the adoption of creative techniques leveraging technology for self-discovery, truly captivated the audience and underscored her position as a visionary leader in the field.

Daljeet Rana, Principal of Mother Teacher School in Punjab, echoed Kathuria’s sentiments, emphasizing the pivotal role of educators as catalysts for igniting self-discovery and nurturing students’ passions. Drawing from personal experiences amidst the pandemic, Rana emphasized the significance of leadership and financial literacy in empowering both educators and students to unlock their full potential.

Reeta Bhargava, Principal of Maheshwari Public School in Jaipur, highlighted the importance of community engagement and parental involvement in the educational journey. Bhargava shared commendable initiatives aimed at bridging the gap between parents and educators, stressing the collaborative efforts needed to support students in their holistic development.

While, Sanjay Suar, Director and Principal of KIIT International School, championed a holistic approach to education, integrating academics, sports, cultural activities, and community service. Suar emphasized the paramount importance of providing personalized support for students with diverse talents and needs, advocating for inclusivity and excellence as cornerstones of educational philosophy.

In the subsequent session, Shruti Shah Kathuria, representing GenLeap, left everybody spellbound by passionately enunciating how each ‘child was unique’: before revealing a customized and comprehensive method of using genomics, psychometrics, and cognitive astromancy to provide detailed reports guiding students toward their ideal career paths.

All the school leaders were intrigued by the concept, which was summed up as an ‘eye opener.’

Daljeet Rana emphasized the importance of instilling a growth mindset to leverage the Genleap concept.
Ratifying Shruti’s point, Reeta Bhargava impressed upon the significance of celebrating students’ uniqueness and creating an environment that fosters their social, emotional, and cognitive development. She shared initiatives undertaken by her school to provide students with diverse learning opportunities, including vocational education and collaboration with local universities.

Whilst, expressing enthusiasm about GenLeap’s innovative approach and its potential to positively impact the education system, Sanjay Suar stressed the need to explore new methodologies for identifying students’ strengths and ensuring their holistic development.

Last but not least, Jyotsna Raghunathan encapsulated the discussion by urging attendees to embrace novel solutions and embark on a journey of faith, perhaps a “Genleap” of faith, in nurturing student growth and development.
