According to students on Twitter, the CBSE should also cancel the Class 12 board exams and find some way to determine the results
Several decisions have been made as the COVID-19 situation in the country deteriorates. The CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 was cancelled and the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 was postponed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) last month. The CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 Board Exams 2021 were set to begin on May 4, 2021 and end on June 14, 2021. Due to an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases across the country, CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 students are now calling for the exam to be cancelled.
Concerned students took to Twitter and launched the hashtag #cancel12thboardexams2021. Around 1 million tweets have been sent so far calling for the upcoming Class 12 board exams to be cancelled. Class 10 board exams have been cancelled, while Class 12 board exams have been postponed by the CBSE. Students are now requesting that the CBSE cancel the CBSE Class 12 board exams because regular COVID-19 cases have not decreased since the CBSE’s initial announcement. On June 1, Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank announced that the revised dates for the Class 12 board exam 2021 would be decided after an analysis of the COVID-19 situation in the country.
The board exams for Class 12 were supposed to start on May 4, 2021. Thousands of candidates have taken to Twitter to ask the CBSE and the government to postpone the Class 12 board exams until 2021 because the COVID-19 situation has not improved. For the past few days, the hashtag ‘#cancel12thboardexams2021’ has been trending on Twitter, along with similar hashtags. This hashtag has been used in over a million tweets. Despite the trending topics on Twitter, the education ministry and the CBSE have yet to comment on the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021.
CBSE class 10th exams were held from February 15 to March 20 last year, and CBSE class 12th exams will be held between February 15 and March 30 this year.
