Due to post-Covid difficulties, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal has been hospitalised to the All India Institute Of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi

The CBSE class 12 examinations have been suspended due to the ongoing Covid-19 epidemic, Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared after chairing an important meeting on Class 12 board exams today evening. Due to the uncertain circumstances created by the epidemic, PM Modi said the decision on the Class 12 CBSE board exams was made in the benefit of kids. The Prime Minister was educated on all of the alternatives available to pupils in Class 12. In the middle of all of this, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal has been hospitalised to the All India Institute Of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi.

In the midst of the pandemic, a review meeting was conducted today at 5:30 p.m. to discuss the fate of the CBSE and other state board exams. Officials presented a full overview of the vast and thorough consultations that have taken place thus far, as well as the feedback received from all stakeholders, including state governments. Due to post-Covid difficulties, Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal was hospitalised to AIIMS. During PM Modi’s critical meeting with Union Ministers and other authorities, it was also determined that CBSE would take steps to compile Class 12 students’ results in a timely way using “well-defined objective criteria.”

“Class XII results will be determined in a timely manner based on well-defined objective criteria,” the PM added. Due to the pandemic crisis, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has declared the cancellation of class 12 board exams this year. He added in a tweet, “The Government of India has decided to cancel the CBSE Board Exams for Class XII. Following lengthy consultations, we have reached a student-friendly resolution that protects the health and future of our young.” The decision on Class 12 CBSE exams, according to the Prime Minister, was made in the best interests of students. He noted that the issue of Board Exams has caused a great deal of anxiety among kids, parents, and instructors, and that it must be addressed.

“Our pupils’ health and safety are of the utmost importance, and there will be no compromise on this,” the PM added. He stated that such examinations cannot be the reason for putting our youngsters in danger in today’s world. “Kids should not be compelled to sit for exams in such a difficult scenario,” Prime Minister Modi said, adding that all stakeholders must be sensitive to students’ needs. PM Modi expressed his gratitude for the extensive consultation process, noting that a student-friendly choice was achieved after consulting all stakeholders from throughout India. The PM also thanked the states for their input on the matter.

The current Covid-19 issue, according to PM Modi, is a dynamic one across the country. While the country’s population is decreasing and some states are effectively handling the problem through micro-containment, some states have chosen for a lockdown. In such a setting, kids, parents, and teachers are understandably concerned about the students’ health. It was also decided that, similar to last year, if certain students wanted to take the tests, CBSE would give them with that choice as and when the situation permitted.
