Examinations have suffered the greatest setback due to this pandemic. Due to the seriousness of COVID-19 situation, many university and national level exams that were supposed to be held in the months of May and April got postponed indefinitely. CBSE examinations dates are also being released in a few dates as is for the university level examinations. Competitive examinations for the Delhi University and various other national-level organizations will be held by the 1st august.
The HRD minister, Mr.Ramesh Pokhriyal conducted a webinar with the students all over India and mentioned that JEE mains 2020 will be conducted by the July 18th or 23rd and JEE Advances 2020 as announced by the IIT, Delhi will be conducted by the 1st august. Proper measures will be taken by the authorities to maintain social distancing norms.
The HRD minister also mentioned a few details about the NEET examinations 2020 in the webinar which was held on the 5th May. He announced that the national eligibility cum entrance test would be conducted by July 26th.
CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATION UPSC2020:
The Union Public Services Competitive Examination India was scheduled to be held on the 31st may but had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The revised dates will be announced by the 30 June keeping in mind the coronavirus scenario.
The Consortium of National Law Universities has recently announced that the CLAT law competitive examinations will be held after a prior notice of 21 days. It was primarily supposed to be held by May 10th, and the application submission dates are also extended till the 1st of July.
Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research, the entrance test of JIPMER will be held in the 2nd week of June by an online portal. JIMPER is a national level entrance examination for MBBS, held in India to pursue further medical studies.
The National Defence Academy entrance tests were scheduled to be conducted by 19 April 2020 and have been postponed to the nearest August’20. The NDA(1) examination will be conducted by 5sept and NDA(2) will also be conducted in the month of September.
The Indian Statistical Institute offers an entrance examination for the mathematics subject. This competitive exam which was earlier postponed will now be held on Sunday, 2nd August 2020. Due to the pandemic and coronavirus cases increasing day by day, these dates can be changed and exams can be further postponed.
AILET 2020:
The all India law entrance test (AILET) is conducted by the National Law University Delhi and it is mainly given to secure UG, PG, PhD level law progressions. Taking into consideration the terrifying conditions of the coronavirus, the competitive examination dates are postponed to Sunday, 9th August 2020.
Examinations have gone for a toss due to the pandemic that has hit the world. It is not only with Indian students but foreign students are also facing the same problems. The CBSE board exams have also been postponed and now are waiting to be suspended. Competitive exams of various universities are postponed as well as suspended for some.
