T.V and Genleap, a consortium of esteemed educators and principals, gathered to discuss the crucial task of helping students become the best versions of themselves. The insightful dialogue unfolded various perspectives and strategies to foster students’ self-awareness, emotional well-being, and resilience.

Distinguished guests including Shruti Shah Kathuria, Chief Strategic Alliance Officer at Genleap; Ajay Singh, Principal of Scindia School; K. Prabhakaran, Principal of Vellore International School; Deepti Chaturvedi, Senior Academician, and Rajya Sabha Fellow, CBSE Resource Person; Mr. Avinash Ojha, Principal of Poddar International School; and Narendra Singh Punia, Principal of Birla Open Minds International, participated in the insightful discussion moderated by Jyotsana Raghunathan and Saniya Khan.

The session commenced with introspective reflections from Shruti Shah Kathuria, who candidly shared her journey of self-discovery amidst the pandemic backdrop. Kathuria emphasized that the quest to make students the best versions of themselves is an ongoing journey rather than a fixed destination. She highlighted the challenge of fostering internal awareness and self-discovery amid today’s information-saturated world. She stressed the importance of empowering students to embrace their uniqueness in a culture of comparison and conformity perpetuated by social media.

Deepti Chaturvedi furthered the discussion by introducing the concept of ICC – Identification, Connection, and Communication – as essential elements for nurturing today’s students. She emphasized the need for student-centric approaches that help students identify their passions and foster genuine connections with society, advocating for open, collaborative communication to guide students to their fullest potential.

K. Prabhakaran delved into broader societal influences on students’ well-being, highlighting the detrimental effects of today’s competitive culture on mental health. He stressed the importance of fostering kindness and empathy in nurturing a supportive learning environment, emphasizing educators’ role in recognizing and addressing students’ struggles.

Furthermore, Ajay Singh explored the interplay between genetics and environment, emphasizing the uniqueness of every student and the need for supportive teacher-student relationships. He advocated prioritizing students’ social and emotional well-being to help them navigate societal pressures with confidence and resilience.

Echoing the sentiments, Mr. Ojha highlighted the importance of nurturing students’ innate abilities in supportive learning environments, emphasizing the role of happiness in guiding career paths. He shared personal anecdotes illustrating the transformative impact of self-awareness and autonomy.

N.S. Punia emphasized fostering a growth mindset and promoting collaboration within the educational community. He also underscored the role of educators and parents in providing holistic support to students and guiding them toward success.

In the subsequent session, the webinar featured a thought-provoking video presentation by Genleap. The presentation highlighted the pressing issues in modern education and advocated for tailored support to guide students toward fulfilling careers aligned with happiness. She also explained how genes and environment interact, citing an example of a college student who discovered a love for reading.

Fellow speakers praised Genleap’s vision of a future where students receive holistic support, shaping a brighter educational landscape.

Deepti Chaturvedi shared insightful anecdotes on the influence of genetics and environment on student development, emphasizing the role of parents in nurturing inherent talents.

Mr. Ojha reinforced the importance of educators in recognizing and nurturing students’ abilities within supportive learning environments.
