National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) announces the commencement of registration for NEET PG 2024, with the exam date rescheduled to June 23.
In a significant development for medical aspirants across India, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has unveiled the online application process for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2024 examination. The application link is set to go live on the official website, natboard.edu.in, this afternoon.
Initially slated for July 7, 2024, the NEET PG exam date has been revised to June 23, marking a change in the academic calendar for medical postgraduate admissions this year. Eligible candidates can submit their applications from April 16 (3 pm) until May 6 (11:55 pm), adhering to the newly adjusted timeline.

4. Complete the application form with the requisite details

To qualify for NEET PG 2024, candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
- Hold an MBBS degree or provisional MBBS pass certificate from a university affiliated with the Medical Council of India (MCI)
Possess a permanent or provisional registration certificate issued by MCI or the State Medical Council (SMC)
Complete a 12-month rotatory internship by the specified cutoff date of August 15, 2024
Furthermore, NBEMS has announced a festive offer with revised application fees for NEET PG 2024. The cost has been reduced by Rs 750 across all categories. General and OBC candidates will now pay Rs 3,500, while SC, ST, and PwD candidates will pay Rs 2,500.
The NEET PG exam comprises 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), each worth four marks, for a total of 800 marks. Candidates receive four marks for correct answers but face a penalty of one mark for each incorrect response.
In line with the updated schedule, NEET PG 2024 results are expected to be declared on July 15, 2024. The counseling process will commence on August 5 and conclude on October 15, 2024. The new academic session is slated to begin on September 16, with the last date for joining set for October 21, 2024.
