India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, established a number of educational institutions worth 13,375 INR crore throughout the nation.

On January 20, 2024, PM Modi opened the permanent campuses of IIT-Bhilai, IIT-Tirupati, and IIT-Jammu, as well as 20 new Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) and 13 new Navodaya Vidyalaya (NV) buildings around the country.

The initiative also included the inauguration of the IIIT DM in Kancheepuram, the Indian Institute of Skills in Kanpur, and two Central Sanskrit University campuses in Devprayag, Uttarakhand, and Agartala, Tripura.

The opening ceremony was conducted in Jammu’s Maulana Azad Stadium, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed confidence during the ceremonial inauguration, saying, “I have complete faith in you, and together we will develop ‘Viksit Jammu and Kashmir.'” Your 70-year goals will be achieved in the coming years under the Modi administration. Jammu and Kashmir had previously received depressing reports of violence and conflict, but the region is currently growing and advancing.”

“In the past decade, India has seen a record number of schools, colleges, and institutions constructed. 50 new degree colleges have been inaugurated in Jammu and Kashmir alone,” Prime Minister Modi announced.

“Schools were once targeted for demolition, but they are now ornamented with care. Today, healthcare facilities in Jammu & Kashmir are fast improving. Prior to 2014, there were four medical colleges in the region; now there are twelve,” the Prime Minister stated.

AIIMS Rewari
